Built a simple booking portal for a boutique house-cleaning business that let clients see available time slots and book recurring or one-time cleanings themselves, instead of calling or texting the owner directly. The portal handles recurring scheduling logic — weekly, biweekly, or monthly — and sends automatic confirmations and reminders without any manual input from the owner. Because the business was a small, owner-operated shop, the priority was keeping the system simple enough that the owner could manage bookings from her phone between jobs. The portal was built to look and feel like a natural extension of the business's existing brand and website. A solo business owner running a boutique house-cleaning business was fielding every booking request by phone or text personally, with no way for clients to see availability or manage recurring schedules without direct back-and-forth. We built a simple, mobile-friendly booking portal handling recurring scheduling logic — weekly, biweekly, monthly — with automatic confirmations and reminders, kept intentionally simple so the owner could manage it from her phone between jobs. We kept discovery short and focused, given the scale of the business, mapping exactly how the owner currently handled recurring bookings before simplifying it into a self-service flow. The portal launched quietly to existing clients first, with the owner reviewing early bookings closely before promoting it more broadly. The owner got back an estimated 5+ hours a week previously spent on booking calls and texts, with clients now managing their own recurring schedules directly through the portal.
