Overview

Built a client onboarding portal for an HR consulting firm that handles employee handbook reviews, policy audits, and compliance projects for small and mid-sized businesses. New clients complete a structured intake questionnaire through the portal instead of a lengthy back-and-forth email exchange, giving consultants the information they need to scope a project accurately from day one. The portal organizes each client's documents, questionnaire responses, and project status in one place, replacing a folder structure that had become hard for the growing consulting team to navigate consistently. We built the intake questions to branch based on company size and industry so clients only answer what's relevant to their situation. New clients of an HR consulting firm completed intake through a lengthy back-and-forth email exchange, delaying accurate project scoping and slowing the growing team's ability to navigate a document folder structure consistently. We built an onboarding portal with a structured, branching intake questionnaire based on company size and industry, organizing each client's documents, responses, and project status in one place. We mapped the firm's existing intake questions across several past engagement types to design branching logic that covered real scenarios rather than a generic form. The portal was piloted with new clients for one engagement type before covering the full service line. Time from signed contract to project kickoff dropped by an estimated one week, with consultants now scoping projects from complete information instead of assembling it from scattered email threads.
