Built an AI chatbot for an online business coaching program's private community site that answers common student questions about course content, homework deadlines, and where to find specific resources. Before the chatbot, the coach and a part-time assistant were answering the same handful of questions dozens of times a week across community posts and direct messages. The chatbot draws its answers directly from the program's existing course materials and FAQ documentation, and clearly hands off to the coach for anything outside that scope rather than guessing. It's available around the clock, which mattered given the program's students span multiple time zones. It ran for two weeks under active coach monitoring before becoming the default first point of contact. Repetitive support questions reaching the coach directly dropped by an estimated 60%, freeing meaningful time for higher-value coaching interactions with students.
